MIAMI (January 21, 2009) - Sow a Seed (SAS), a non-profit organization created by a group of young professionals based in Miami and Haiti will support Miami-Dade County Commissioner Dorrin Rolle, Rebuilding Haiti Committee, local business leaders and various talented musicians at the H20 for Haiti, fundraising concert to be held on Saturday, January 23, 2010. Event will be located at Oak Grove Park, 690 NE 159th Street, North Miami Beach, FL from 3pm-10pm.
The expected 20,000 concert goers will be able to donate and raise funds by purchasing or bringing in bottles of water, a primary source of life. The goal is to receive two million gallons of water which Haiti’s earthquake survivors desperately need. The Rebuilding Haiti Committee will distribute the water in Port-au-Prince immediately following the event.
The benefit will feature performances by Sweet Micky, T-Vice, Alan Cave, Jowee Omicil, Harmonik and Gabel. “We want to honor the lives that were lost and raise hope for the people that are faced with a long road of rebuilding ahead of them,” states Sweet Micky, prominent Haitian artist. “This concert will be quite different from our normal performances as we will be featuring songs of hope, solidarity and pride.”
